LIGHT IN THE DARKNESS

As Christians, we are called to be The Light of the world as we read in Matthew:5:14-16, which says,

“You are the light of the world..

No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house.

In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.

But ever wondered, “How can I be The Light?”

Here are few ways, for you to be The Light!

HOW TO BE THE LIGHT?

1) BY READING THE WORD OF GOD:

As we read in Psalms:119:105, which says,

“Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.”

Nothing can enlighten us than The Word of God; It illuminates our soul and makes our light shine before men.

“For the commandment is a lamp, and the teaching [of the law] is light..
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭6‬:‭23‬

Keeping GOD’s commandments and walking in His teachings lights up the paths of our life

2) BY GUARDING YOUR EYES:

As we read in The Bible (Luke:11:34), The eyes are the gateway to our souls; By guarding what we see through it, we can guard our souls from the darkness of the world; When we allow ourselves to see stuffs that are corruptive, it can poison our mind and fill us with darkness.

But when we guard our eyes and discipline ourselves to watch or read virtuous things, The Eyes – which are the lamp of the body and gateways to our soul, would be full of light, and so would we be!

3) SEEK THE GREAT LIGHT:

Nothing in this world can turn our darkness into light except for “The TRUE LIGHT ” Himself; for there is no trace of darkness in HIM!

When we seek Jesus with all our heart, He (The Great Light ) is faithful to turn our darkness into light.

“For it is YOU (The Lord) who light my lamp; the Lord my God lightens my darkness.”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭18‬:‭28‬ ‭

I (The Lord) will prepare a lamp for My Anointed.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭132‬:‭17‬ ‭

As nothing can escape the rays of the sun, no darkness in your life can hide before “The Sunrise of Heaven” ( Jesus).

As we’ve learnt how to be the light, let us see how to guard the light..

HOW TO GUARD THE LIGHT?

There is a great secret to this to be learnt from what The LORD commanded Aaron and his sons, and also from the virtuous woman described in proverbs 31, as we read in the scriptures below..

“..Aaron and his sons must keep the lamps burning in the Lord’s presence all night.”
‭‭Exodus‬ ‭27‬:‭21‬ ‭

“Her (the virtuous woman’s) lamp does not go out at night.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭31‬:‭18‬ ‭

The secret shared in the above verses is simple..

The key to guard the light is – to Keep the Lamp burning even in your darkest days!

Even in the darkest of nights, and in the dreadful seasons, where life takes you through the valleys of the shadow of death, keep your lamp burning- that is, keep on seeking The LORD, read HIS word, guard your eyes and keep your relationship with The Great True Light!!

CAN ANYTHING OVERCOME YOUR LIGHT ?

Is there truly anything that can overcome our light? Is darkness too powerful to overcome it?

Let’s see what the Bible has to say..

The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. (John 1:5)

Yes, it’s a fact that no amount of darkness in the world can overcome even the light of a small candle🕯️!

Then, is there really anything that could keep your light from burning?

Sadly, there is one thing.. It’s you!

Yeah you read it right.. Only you have the power to put out your light!

Let me explain..

As a candle needs oxygen to burn, we need the presence of God to keep our lamps burning ❤️‍🔥!

When we isolate ourselves from God’s presence, and fail to maintain a right relationship with Him, by not reconciling with our father, we can be guaranteed that the flame in our lamps has started to faint..

This is what Jesus says in Luke:8:16, which reads:

“No one, when he has lit a lamp, covers it with a vessel..

HOW TO KEEP MY LIGHT BURNING?

The parable of the 10 virgins teaches us an important lesson..

“Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Now five of them were wise (far sighted, practical, sensible), and five were foolish (thoughtless, silly, careless).

Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept. “And at midnight a cry was heard: ‘Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!’ Then all those virgins arose and trimmed (prepared) their lamps.

And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’

But the wise answered, saying, ‘No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’

And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut. (Matthew 25:1-10)

We can see the following similarities in both the wise & the foolish virgins:

• All of them were virgins – That means all of them were saved by the blood of the lamb.
• All of them had lamps – It means, all of them were spiritually enlightened and carried God’s word in their hearts.
• All of them went forth to meet the bridegroom – That means, all of them were looking expectantly for The Second Coming of The Lord Jesus.
• All of them slumbered when the bridegroom tarried – Means that all the believers got tired of waiting for HIM.
• All of them woke up on hearing the cry of the bridegroom’s return – Meaning: All of them heard The Trumpet sound of The Lord’s return
• All of them trimmed their wicks and prepared their lamps – That means, all of them (beleivers) were preparing themselves for The Second Coming of Jesus.

Despite these similarities, what made the wise virgins stand out, to be accepted by The Bridegroom (Jesus)?

They had oil (active relationship with God through the Holy spirit) in their lamps, which made their lamps ready (rather than prepared) to be lit! 🕯️

Though all the 10 virgins had their lamps prepared (Matthew:25:7), only the 5 wise virgins had their lamps ready (Matthew:25:10) when the bridegroom arrived..

what does it mean?

Let me give you an example..

The above picture shows 2 images of the same candle; On the left image, the candle is prepared to be lit; However, on the right, we see that the candle’s lid (which hinders the oxygen flow) is removed and it is ready to be lit!

Similarly, when we remove whatever is hindering God’s presence in our lives, be it our transgressions, our rebellions, our sins or trespasses, and mend our relationship with Jesus, we too will be ready with our lamps like the wise virgins to meet our King👑!

When we read furthermore in the parable of the 10 virgins, we can see the foolish ones without oil (believers without relationship) crying out to the Bridegroom (Jesus) to open the door; you know what was HIS reply to them?

Later the others also came, and said, ‘Lord, Lord, open [the door] for us.’

But He replied, ‘I assure you and most solemnly say to you, I do not know you [we have no relationship].’

(Matthew 25:11-12 AMP)

Though they wanted to mend their relationship with God, it was too late!

Therefore, be on the alert [be prepared and ready], for you do not know the day nor the hour [when the Son of Man will come].
Matthew 25:13 AMP

Keep short accounts with God, to keep on shining!

Don’t let anyone or anything steal (hinder) your oxygen (relationship with God)!

Don’t hide or isolate yourself from God’s presence!

Be sensitive to HIS spirit.. repent & reconcile with HIM every now and then, before it’s too late!

Be ready! Keep watch and keep your lamp burning🕯️!

Romans 12:2 : And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed by the renewing of your mind

Remember.. you are called to be The Light!

You are called to stand out, Not to fit in!

So.. go be The Light! A Light in the Darkness!

YOU ARE OWNED!

Have you ever felt disowned by your loved ones?

Have you ever come to a point in life where you no longer know where you belong?

Forsaken By Parents:

• 

I recently came across a friend who broken heartedly shared how her own mother treated her like a burden, hurting her with spiteful words, questioning her integrity!

She was so broken, she said with tears, how ‘she wished that her mother had aborted her in the womb so that she would have spared her from suffering her soul wrecking malicious words.’

I was astounded by her confession! She felt forsaken and cast off by her own mother; she felt disowned!

Hearing this, I was also reminded of the many mothers that come to me (a Doctor) seeking to kill (abort) their own child in the darkness of their womb before their little ones get to see the light of the day..

• 

All at the same time, I was also reminded of this precious Bible verse that says,

“Can a woman forget her nursing child, And not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you.

(Isaiah 49:15 )

Another friend shared how her mother told her oneday, “How I wish I could marry you off to some guy and get you off my neck”.. She felt humiliated and abandoned as she shared this; I led her to read Psalms:27:10 which says,

Although my father and my mother have abandoned me, Yet the Lord will take me up [adopt me as His child].

Psalms 27:10

You might as well feel abandoned or forsaken today.. take heart! You are not alone.. You have a loving God who fathers you and remembers you even when your own mother forgets you!

Born With A Purpose:

You are not on this Earth by accident.. It wasn’t your parents who decided they wanted you.. you are here because God wanted you!

It wasn’t your parents who designed and fashioned you in the womb.. you are the way God designed you to be!

You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. You saw me before I was born.

Psalms 139:15‭-‬16

You are a masterpiece of HIS wonderful craftsmanship!

For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;

Psalms 139:13‭-‬14

It was neither the human mind that spoke you into existence nor the Doctor’s efforts that saved your life while you were on your way out of the womb.. It was God who made you and brought you safe out of your mother’s womb!

But You are He who took Me out of the womb;

Psalms 22:9

Upon You I have leaned from before my birth; You are He who took me from my mother’s womb.

Psalm 71:6

You are the creator’s Masterpiece, fearfully and wonderfully made to fulfill the Master’s plan! You are here on purpose!

Cast On; Not Cast off :

Today, you might feel cast off by your own family and friends; But know this.. when you are cast off by the World, you are cast on to the Lord!

From birth I was cast on You;
from my mother’s womb
You have been my God.

Psalms 22:10

So, my dear friend, I invite you to cast your burdens and cares on ‘The One’ who truly cares for you!

Cast your burden on the Lord, And He shall sustain you;

Psalms 55:22

casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

I Peter 5:7

You Are Special:

Just imagine how special you must be that the creator has tattooed your face on the palm of HIS hands and has recorded each and every day of your life in HIS book!

Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands;

Isaiah 49:16

All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.

Psalms 139:16

And not just that..

HIS hands also carry the mark of true love – mark of the Nails that pierced HIS hands just for you!

HE let the hands that made the entire Universe to be crucified on the cross, just to embrace you.. because you are HIS universe!

You Are Known:

HE knows everything about you, HE knows how you feel; HE sees you as you are, and still loves you the same..

O Lord, You have examined my heart and know everything about me.

Psalms 139:1

The Faithful Keeper:

• 

The Lord is a faithful keeper who keeps you day and night; you might be alien to God and might not know HIM, but HE remains faithful even when we are faithless; All you have to do is choose HIM. HIS arms are wide open, waiting for you to come back to HIM today.. for HE can never disown you!

Behold, He who keeps Israel Shall neither slumber nor sleep.

Psalms 121:4

if we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot disown Himself.

2 Timothy 2:13

The Safe Hiding Place:

• 

You are my hiding place; You, Lord, protect me from trouble;

Psalms 32:7

In the Bible, we read the Lord protecting Moses by keeping him in a cleft and covering him with HIS hand (Exodus:33:22) until HIS glory had passed by;

Similarly we read, the Israelites were protected from the Destroyer who passed by the streets of Egypt, within houses that were marked by the blood (Exodus:12:23).

I recently lost my grandmother who used to be my Best friend and my Hiding place; Whenever life knocks me down, I’d go and take refuge in her; I just love to run and ‘hide’ myself in her home until my troubles seem to pass away and I feel refreshed; When I lost her, it came upon me so suddenly, that I was crushed under the burden of this irreplaceable loss.. I felt like I’ve lost the one and only person in the World who truly understands me; Nothing could ever console my greiving heart as I lost my hiding place and my best friend all at the same time!

And in the shadow of Your wings I will make MY REFUGE,
Until these calamities
have passed by.

Psalms 57:1

• 

That is when, the Lord reminded me that I can always run to HIM, to hide and to take refuge in HIM as HIS rightful daughter👑, just as a little girl would run to her father when she’s scared!

Own HIM:

..thus says the Lord, who

CREATED YOU,..

And He who

FORMED YOU..:

“Fear not, for I have

REDEEMED YOU;

I have

CALLED YOU

by your name;

YOU ARE MINE.

Isaiah 43:1

The One who formed you has also redeemed (rescued) you (from sins and bondage); HE has paid the highest ransom ever paid (HIS BLOOD) on the cross for your sins, just to own you and to call you HIS OWN!

You are not just owned.. You are owned by HIS blood! So,

“Own THE ONE who CREATED YOU.. Own THE ONE who FORMED YOU.. Own THE ONE on whom you were CAST ON..

Own THE ONE who CARES FOR YOU..

Own THE ONE who is FAITHFUL..

Own THE ONE who KEEPS YOU..

Own THE ONE who is your HIDING PLACE..

Own THE ONE who is your REFUGE..

Own THE ONE who OWNS YOU!”

RISE UP DEBORAH!

Dear woman of God,

Are you tired of people treating you as if you’re not supposed to have a voice and an opinion? Do you feel silenced and rendered speechless at times?! Are your ideas not valued just because you’re a woman!? This one’s for you!

WHAT ARE YOU MADE OF?

Then the RIB which the Lord God had taken from man He made into a woman,

Genesis 2:22

The Bible says, God made woman out of a solid bone, unlike Adam who was made out of the dust of the ground! What does it imply? It doesn’t mean that woman is superior to man; but what it does imply is, what the world sees and considers to be weak (physically); God sees it differently!

When God sees a woman, HE sees valour and strength! HE sees her as the solid bone- a framework that supports, binds and lifts up the Body of Christ to stand upright!

The World sees a warrior in the strength of one’s physique; But The Lord sees a warrior in the strength of one’s Heart❤️

GOD’S COVENANT WITH YOU:

When God chose Abraham’s descendants to be HIS; was the covenant made only with Abraham?! Do you think that it was just Abraham who found favour with God !?

Then why wasn’t Ishmael being Abraham’s direct descendant, considered the promised son!?

The LORD said in Genesis 17:21:

But My covenant I will establish with Isaac, whom SARAH shall bear to you at this set time next year.”

So the covenant was with the son whom “Sarah” was about to bear Abraham & not with any other woman!

TAMAR – THE CHOSEN ONE:

On a similar note, have you ever wondered why only the elder sons of Judah, Er and Onan (who were husbands of Tamar) died and not his youngest son Shelah?!

Also, interestingly the genealogy of Jesus is not of the line of Shelah!

What does this mean??

As much as God chose the tribe of Judah for the Messiah to be born, HE also chose “Tamar” to be the one to carry the lineage of Jesus Christ!

And thus the list goes on with Rahab, Ruth, Bathsheba and Mary (the mother of Jesus).

THE REDEMPTION PLAN:

The Redemption plan was first unveiled to the Samaritan woman by the well, when Jesus revealed Himself to be the Messiah to her; and thus, she was commissioned by God to be the first Evangelist to spread the Messianic gospel of Christ!

And to begin with; after all, it was through Mary, GOD introduced HIS Redemption plan (Jesus) into this World without the involvement of a man!

For it is said,

And I will put enmity BETWEEN YOU AND THE WOMAN, And between your seed and HER SEED; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel.”

Genesis 3:15

Note that it’s not mentioned as “his seed”; but as, “her seed”!

You might not know who you are.. But the enemy knows who his rival is!

Also, it is evidentially recorded in the Bible that after HIS resurrection, Jesus appeared first to a woman who followed HIM! Such is the Honour and value HE bestows upon women!

RISE UP YOU WARRIOR!

Woman of God!

People might disregard you, look down on you, mock you or even question your role in the redemption plan and ministry, just because of your gender!

But trust me! It’s the voice of the enemy trying to persuade you and deceive you by sowing the seeds of doubt in your soul, for he knows his rival!

Resist the devil, and he will flee from you!

RISE UP! RISE UP DEBORAH! RISE UP, YOU MIGHTY WARRIOR!! FOR YOUR KING WHO DELIGHTS IN YOU, IS ALSO..COUNTING ON YOU!!

BRIDE, Be Ready!

we all can evidently see, that the World has moved on into a perilous time, where we hear news of destruction, wars, famines and pandemics everywhere just the way it is told in the Bible it would be! (Mat:24:6,7)

Where is the World going? What is happening? What does this all mean? Here is the answer!

when you see all these things taking place, know for certain that He (JESUS) is near, right at the door. (Matthew 24:33)

• 

Yes! All these tell us that the second coming of JESUS is so near! HE is going to come back as the King of Kings and we must be ready to meet HIM!

Now that we know that HE is near at the gates, is there anything we should do on our part?! Just like a bride getting ready to meet her bridegroom, you and I should get ready to meet our eternal bridegroom!

HOW SHOULD I GET READY!?

While attending a concert or going to a movie theatre, not everyone is allowed inside just because they “know who the artist is”or because they “love the movie”; only the ones with the TICKET will be let in! So, the first thing we do is, buy a ticket!

Similarly, the first step in getting ready to meet JESUS is to accept HIM in your Heart❤️

“Believe in the Lord Jesus as your personal Savior (from your sins) and entrust yourself to Him and you will be saved, you and your household” 
Acts 16:31 

The next thing we do would be to hold on to the ticket until the day of the concert!

In the same way, we should hold on to our salvation and try to live a Holy life each day!

Without HOLINESS no one will see the LORD! 
Hebrews 12:14 

HOW TO BE HOLY!?

 ‘You shall be HOLY, for I the Lord your God am holy. 
Leviticus 19:2 

We can clearly see from the above verse that the LORD wants HIS people to be HOLY!

But ‘the greatest questions ever’ in everyone’s mind (including mine) is, “How do I live Holy?” Or “How much holy do I need to be?”

TAKE A STEP!

The first thing you need to live a Holy life is “the DESIRE to live holy”; when you desire and long to be holy, HE is FAITHFUL to guide our footsteps!

• 

 “I am the Lord your God, Who teaches you to profit, Who leads you by the way you should go. 
Isaiah 48:17 

HOW MUCH HOLY SHOULD I BE?

• 

The truth is, no amount of HOLINESS would be enough or could be compared to HIM who dwells in the HOLY OF HOLIES!

So stop comparing your holiness with that of your friends or others and assume that you are holier or less holy than than them; Set your eyes on JESUS!

Only “HIS life” should be the standard of holiness for our lives!

PURSUE HOLINESS!

PURSUE peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord
Hebrews 12:14 

It’s true that our holiness can never be compared with HIS; But that shouldn’t stop us from pursuing holiness!.. for the Lord says,

let the righteous go on in righteousness; and let the holy go on being made holy.” 
Revelation 22:11 

In Tamil, this verse is translated as,

“Let the one who is holy become more holy”

PERFECTING HOLINESS:

Many think, once we receive salvation, we are perfected in holiness once and for all! But the Bible says,

Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. 
II Corinthians 7:1 

On the day of salvation, it’s true that the LORD bestows us with the grace and authority to be called HIS sons and daughters; but our journey of perfecting holiness (to be HIS likeness) starts from there, rather than ending there!

Perfecting holiness is a day to day process and a journey towards our destination (HEAVEN❤️)! The Contemporary English version of the above verse says,

We should honour God and "TRY" to be completely like HIM
II Corinthians 7:1 (CEV)

One can never say that they’ve attained enough until they reach heaven!..For the Bible says,

Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on,  
Philippians 3:12 

The Lord says, to anyone who is holy, more (holiness) will be given by HIM, so that he will have in abundance!

‘For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away. 
Matthew 25:29

Remember the story of Elisha and the widow’s oil (II kings:4)?

The LORD blessed the little oil (holiness) she had and made it overflow in abundance, until all her empty vessels were filled!

We see a similar scenario in the parable of the 10 virgins, told by Jesus Himself!

• 

Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them,  but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. 
Matthew 25:3‭-‬4 

Like the wise virgins, let us carry oil (holiness) in our lamps (soul), so that the light in our lamps lasts until the day we meet our bridegroom king!

Let no one deceive you; for the Lord says,

And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake.But he who endures to the end shall be saved. 
Mark 13:13 

HOW DO I OVERCOME SIN?

You might ask me, “I want to become Holy like HIM, but how do I overcome this addiction or bondage?” Here is your answer!

• 

 the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing. 
Isaiah 10:27 

You might also be frustrated thinking, “Oh! I’ve tried hard so many times to refrain from this sinful act; but I’ve failed! Is there a way out?”

Hear out the LORD’S gracious reply to you,

“This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel (read with your name): ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the Lord of hosts.
Zechariah 4:6 

• 

Cry out to the Lord for the anointing of HIS Holy Spirit; there is no doubt that HE will honour your longing to live Holy and set you free!

If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!” 
Luke 11:13 

Do not fight with your own strength, but rely on the strength of the HOLY SPIRIT!

LEAN ON TO HIS GRACE!

We all have weaknesses that hinder our way in the journey of becoming Holy like Jesus.. It is to people like you and me HE says,

 “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.”  
II Corinthians 12:9 

WHAT DOES GRACE TEACH US?

Many, misinterpret Grace as the “license” to sin and abuse GOD’S abundant mercy over us which was bought with the Highest price ever paid, by sacrificing HIS only son on the cross for our sins!

Then,what does grace really teach us?

For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, 
Titus 2:11‭-‬13 

• 

Grace is a gift that makes us realize the value of the huge ransom paid by Christ and reminds us of our identity in Christ; it gives us the power & authority to overcome the reign of sin over our lives!

GRACE IS THE ROUTE OF ESCAPE THAT KEEPS US FROM SINNING!

Rather than the route of escape after sinning!

TRUST GOD!

Above everything else, trust the one who chose you and called you!

Have faith that the one who gave up HIS life for you on that rugged cross will enable you the strength to finish your race successfully!

Now to Him who is ABLE to keep you from stumbling, And to present you faultless Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, 
Jude 1:24 

Even if you stumble and fall in the course of your journey, take heart; dust up yourself and run back to God!

• 

Repent and trust that HE has forgiven your sins; for trusting the LORD is your strength!

For the Lord God , the Holy One of Israel has said this, “In returning [to Me] and rest you shall be saved, In quietness and confident trust is your strength.” 
Isaiah 30:15 

LORD, OUR SANCTIFIER:

One of my favourite names of our God is, JEHOVAH M’KADDESH, which means, “LORD, our SANCTIFIER”

• 

I am the Lord who sanctifies you. 
Leviticus 20:8 

HE is not just a GOD who requires us to be Holy; but HE is a “compassionate father” who guides us, helps us and sanctifies us!

• 

He will also strengthen you to the end, so that you will be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.  God is faithful; 
1 Corinthians 1:8‭-‬9 

• 

PURSUE HOLINESS! BE STRONG!! TRUST HIM!!

• 

I pray, that the LORD would be gracious to perfect HIS Holiness in each and every one of you reading this blog and in myself, so that the King delights in the beauty of HIS BRIDE when HE returns! Bride, be Ready!!

YOU ARE PURSUED!

Have you ever wondered if you are worthy to be pursued?!

We pursue and chase after so many things in life..our dreams, career, relationships etc..,

But have you ever come to a point in life where you’ve paused your run and and thought to yourself, “Man! I’ve chased after so many things..but am I also being pursued the way I deserve to be?” or “Am I deserving to be pursued?”

I know a girl who had to fight her way through demons since childhood!

She faced struggles and challenges as a child that many of us would dread to face even now!

She fought invisible battles that children of her age have never even heard of..!

Though that thorny path led her to her saviour, nevertheless her soul was crushed many a times and her heart was trampled upon and left to bleed!

As she grew, she was caught up in the clutches of fear! It gripped her heart❤️.. and though she was surrounded by people who loved and cherished her, deep down, there was a void in her heart!

There was this desperate longing to be HEARD and to be UNDERSTOOD and to be LOVED!

Though she looked cheerful on the outside, part of her soul felt dead!.. It was like a desolate, dry and parched land that couldn’t be quenched even by the floods of water (extravagant love shown by her dear ones)!

That is when she said, she heard a meek, tender voice that whispered in her ears ever so gently, saying,

“DRINK FROM ME!”

We see a similar incident in the Bible where Jesus meets a Samaritan woman and pretends to ask for a drink and ends up offering her one!

Then a woman from Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, “Give Me a drink”— The Samaritan woman asked Him, “How is it that You, being a Jew, ask me, a Samaritan woman, for a drink?” (For Jews have nothing to do with Samaritans.) Jesus answered her, “If you knew [about] God’s gift [of eternal life], and who it is who says, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him [instead], and He would have given you living water (eternal life).” Jesus answered her, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again. But whoever drinks the water that I give him will never be thirsty again. But the water that I give him will become in him a spring of water [satisfying his thirst for God] welling up [continually flowing, bubbling within him] to eternal life.”
John 4:7‭, ‬9‭-‬10‭, ‬13‭-‬14

In the above verses, “thirst” doesn’t mean the actual thirst for water! HE saw through her heart and knew that she had a thirst in her soul!

A thirst to be known! A thirst to be understood! A thirst to be loved! A thirst to be seen for who she really is!

Do you have such longings too? The solution is..

HIS unquenchable love!

Nobody can know you better than the maker! Nobody can feel the agony of your heart better than the one who made it! Nobody can understand you better than the one who can decipher your mind! And.. Nobody can love you more than the one who gave HIS own life for you to be saved!

We read in the Bible that the Samaritan woman whom Jesus met, had 5 failed marriages.. and she was still pursuing another man!

While others saw a sinner in her, Jesus saw the desperate unquenchable longing (thirst) in her heart that only HE (The Lord) himself can satisfy!

While others saw her weaknesses, God saw great potential in her! And HE revealed himself (as the Messiah) to her!

And.. to the wonder of wonders, this woman who was thought to be despicable by others becomes the first ever evangelist to spread the good news of Gospel in the History of mankind!

“The woman who pursued after love, was pursued with love, by Love Himself!”

Does your heart bleed in silence!? Do you fight battles that even your dear ones know nothing about!? Are you thirsty?!

“DRINK FROM HIM”

Do you feel unworthy and unloved? Do you feel like a cracked pot in the midst of honourable vessels!? Remember! You are being pursued! God needs you! Not those honourable vessels..but you! HE needs you just the way you are!

HE will quench your soul with HIS living waters and use your brokenness to manifest HIS GLORY!

It’s true that your heart is shattered in pieces..But when you pick up those pieces and give it to Jesus, HE will make you a Crown of Glory in HIS hands!

You shall also be a crown of glory In the hand of the Lord , And a royal diadem In the hand of your God.
Isaiah 62:3

What is your definition of being Blessed?!

Before we could assess if you are really blessed.., what is your definition of being called “blessed”?

Now..
the definition of being Blessed varies from person to person..
If you ask me, I would say.. “the people who are doing post graduation are truly blessed”.. If you ask my mom, she would say “a girl getting married before the age of 25 years is blessed” (typical Indian mom problems lol😂!.. and FYI.. I’m just 26 though my mom treats me like I’m 60🙄)Likewise.. I’ve heard people saying, “Money is all we need for a blessed life”.. “successful career is the key for a blessed life”.. “people who are Beautiful and have a pretty face are the ones who are truly blessed!”..

“Oh..only if I could marry that girl/guy.. I would be the most Blessed person in this world!”.. “Only if I could have that job or reach to that position in life.., I would be truly blessed!”..etc..etc..

Since we all have a difference of opinion in what is the essence of being called Blessed, let’s see what is GOD’s definition of being called Blessed!

Who are the blessed?!

Blessed are those who mourn!

Look at the Bible say..

Blessed are those who mourn, For they shall be comforted.

(Matthew 5:4)

Isn’t that kind of odd??
Why should anyone who mourn be called Blessed?
It is because.. nobody has got God closer to them than those with a broken heart..The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, And saves such as have a contrite spirit. Psalms 34:18

He heals the brokenhearted And binds up their wounds.

Psalms 147:3
Are you hurting right now?
Do you feel bruised?
Are you being falsely accused?
Have your friends forsaken you?
You feel like your spirit’s been crushed?

Take Heart❤️
God is near you!
You are Blessed!!

The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, A broken and a contrite heart— These, O God, You will not despise.

Psalms 51:17

He Counts the stars and calls them all by Name!

Lord, your name is so great and powerful! People everywhere see your splendor. Your glorious majesty streams from the heavens, filling the earth with the fame of your name!

Look at the splendor of your skies, your creative genius glowing in the heavens. When I gaze at your moon and your stars, mounted like jewels in their settings, I know you are the fascinating artist who fashioned it all! But when I look up and see such wonder and workmanship above, I have to ask you this question:

Compared to all this cosmic glory , why would you bother with puny, mortal man or be infatuated with Adam’s sons?

Psalms 8:1‭, ‬3‭-‬4 TPT

Isn’t it just fascinating to see the night sky studded with the innumerable stars shining like gems!

Of all the progress and discoveries man has made.. The onething that makes man question his intelligence and realize his limitations is the mysteries of the galaxies that mankind can never unfold..even over a zillion years!

All the cosmic glories of the Universe display the Power of HIS Glorious Majesty !

They declare that there is a God who creates everything and mankind cannot even come near close in drawing a conclusion about the creations!

Everytime the scientists discover something hoping that it would be a solution to their questions regarding the origin and existence of the Universe..It only leads them further down into a trail of mysteries and they end up being confused!

By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, And all the host of them by the breath of His mouth.

Let all the earth fear the Lord ; Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him.

For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast.

Psalms 33:6‭, ‬8‭-‬9 NKJV

But you know what’s cooler than knowing ‘The One‘ who created the cosmos and its glory?!

It’s.. Knowing that..HE loves you!

Oh how we stand in awe of all HIS glory and wonder! But the wonder of wonders is.. Above all these cosmic glories… The king of Glory still wants and yearns for your tiny heart 💖

You can rest assured knowing that your tears are kept in account and you are cared and loved and adored by this Almighty Omnipotent Omnipresent Sovereign El-Shadai who created the heavens and its riches!

HE who cares for you never sleeps nor slumbers..! The great craftsman who designed every detail of this Universe..has more carefully designed every tiny detail of your life too..!

He counts the number of the stars; He calls them all by name.                
Psalms 147:4

Every hair on your head is numbered by The One who numbers the stars and calls them all by name! HE has engraved you in the palm of HIS hands.. You are known!

There is one glory of the sun, another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for one star differs from another star in glory.
I Corinthians 15:41

You are unique just as every star is unique in its glory! So don’t compare yourselves to others because God crafted you to be uniquely different from others! Donot loose your God given glory in the process of comparing yourselves with others!

Shine bright knowing your worth! Arise and shine for HIS Glory has come upon you..! Let your light shine brighter before others delivering them out of the clutches of darkness, and leading them to The One True Light!

Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever.
Daniel 12:3

Let us cross over to the other side!

Have you guys ever gone surfing??!

It really fascinates me to see the surfers move with grace over the roaring waves of the mighty ocean.. I always wonder how they do that! But I’m sure it’s not a oneday thing.. It takes months or maybe years to become a professional surfer!

The Tempest Calls!

So leaving the crowd, they took Him with them, just as He was, in the boat. And other boats were with Him. And a fierce windstorm began to blow, and waves were breaking over the boat, so that it was already being swamped.

Mark 4:36‭-‬37 AMP

Every one of us begin our Christian journey, happily accepting Jesus ‘just as HE was’- Son of Man, born in flesh who made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men(Philippians 2:7) for us to be saved from sins!

But soon enough.. Our little boats face storms and tempests and the happy journey turns into a horrifying experience! At times we feel like being swamped..and.. Suffocated and we are drenched in anxiety and drowned in depression!

Your sailor’s got this!

But Jesus was in the stern, asleep with His head on the sailor’s leather cushion. And they woke Him and said to Him, “Teacher, do You not care that we are about to die?”
Mark 4:38 AMP

At those perilious times.. We often feel like GOD’S asleep and that we’ve totally lost control!..

But.. What we tend to forget is that the sailor’s still in control!..

We cry in despair like the psalmist saying:
Awake! Why do You sleep, O Lord? Arise! Do not cast us off forever. Why do You hide Your face, And forget our affliction and our oppression? (Psalms 44:23‭-‬24)

But we forget that..

HE who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep! (Psalms:121:4)

We feel as though God doesn’t care!
But we forget that..

We are called to cast our burdens on HIM because HE cares for us!
(1Peter:5:7)

King of the Waves:

Then He arose and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water. And they ceased, and there was a calm. But He said to them, “Where is your faith?” And they were afraid, and marveled, saying to one another, “Who can this be? For He commands even the winds and water, and they obey Him!”

Luke 8:24‭-‬25 NKJV

Amidst the chaotic situation, we become overwhelmed and tend to forget who our sailor actually is!
Our hearts that accepted Jesus Christ just as HE is.. fails to recognize HIM as the MIGHTY EL-SHADAI who is the ruler of the ocean and the king of the waves!

Where’s your faith?

In another translation, HE calls them..

Oh you of little faith!

Sometimes GOD allows tempests in our lives..not to show us our weakness.. But to display HIS greatness!

Has your mustard seed faith that moved mountains for you before.. failed infront this tempest?

Be still!
Remember who’s in control!

HE tests you not to drown you.. But to teach you..!
To teach you the art of trusting Him amidst the stormy waves.. To teach you how to surf the waves of calamity with serenity!

For HE said:

Let us cross over to the other side..

Mark:4:35

Just remind yourself that The One who promised you this.. is faithful to take you across the other side..!

Even today as you read this, HE speaks to you saying:

My dear child,
All I want you to do is to trust me!
Take my hand and walk along with me on the water!
Let’s do this!

Let’s cross over to the other side.. Together!

Love like a sinner..!

Isn’t God’s love for us just amazing?

I’ve always wondered what it takes to show HIM my love…!?

As a Doctor.. I get to meet different types of people attending my OPD.. people with minor body aches who feel like they’re the most unfortunate beings on Earth., people who never follow my advice but blame me at the end., people who yell at me for attending to them late.. (I would’ve been busy attending an emergency case after finishing a sleepless night shift..starving all night!)..etc., Amidst all these groups of people.. There are very few who really feel what I do for them and say, “Thankyou Doctor!”.. Now these are the people whom I would like to call “the rasrest species on Earth”.. Haa..haa!

Yeah..! It’s rare to find people who realize what has been done for them.. It’s these kind of people who bring a little sunshine to my day..! They encourage me to serve more.. and more.. and more..!

A grateful heart is the rarest of treasures!

How to love JESUS..?

Love HIM with a grateful heart.. Not a grumpy complaining one!

Therefore I say to you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much. But to whom little is forgiven, the same loves little.”
Luke 7:47 NKJV

Another version reads like this:

She has been forgiven of all her many sins. This is why she has shown me such extravagant love. But those who assume they have very little to be forgiven will love me very little.”
Luke 7:47 TPT

Love HIM like a sinner! Love HIM realizing that HE has forgiven our many sins.. Love HIM with a grateful heart.. Remind yourself that HE loves you even after seeing those filthy pages of your life.. HIS love changes not even after seeing those sins you’ve committed in secret!

The broken and contrite spirit of a convicted & grieving heart is the greatest sacrifice of love that could be ever offered to HIM!

So let us love HIM with all our heart, strength and mind.. Let us love the friend of sinners.. like a sinner!

Love HIM like a sinner saved by grace!

The Rober in paradise !

And Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.”
(Luke 23:43)


Jesus spoke these words to one of the robbers who were crucified with HIM on either sides.


This is the only verse in the whole BIBLE where it is mentioned that Jesus told a person directly that Assuredly he will be in heaven with Jesus!

I was pondering why did HE say such a good thing to a criminal when HE hasn’t even said so to one of HIS own disciples!?!?

What was it that moved the compassionate heart of Lord Jesus to make such a huge promise?

It must have been the words he spoke about Jesus to the other robber who blasphemied Jesus!
He said:

“Have you no fear of God? You’re getting the same as him. We deserve this, but not him—he did nothing to deserve this.”

Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you enter your kingdom.”

Many times we are so full of ourselves., Being consumed by our own self righteousness., boasting about our zeal for God and consumed by the pride that we are the children of God…
At times our eyes are veiled by pride during tribulations and we question God’s greatness like the other Criminal who blasphemied Jesus saying, “Some Messiah you are! Save yourself! Save us!”

We become so frustrated with God at times and hate HIM for not providing us the blessings that (we think) we deserve inspite of us being righteous..

I pray that our eyes be opened to the truth.. So that whenever we face hardships and disappointments in life, we would lift our faces to Calvary, knowing that HE underwent so much more than what we face..though HE did not deserve any of it!..HE endured that painful path just because HE loved us!

It is true that we are HIS children., rested with authority and called for Greatness!
But let us also realize that it is all possible only because of HIS GRACE.. and let us humble ourselves before HIM!



Luke 18:13‭-‬14 AMP:
But the tax collector, standing at a distance, would not even raise his eyes toward heaven, but was striking his chest [in humility and repentance], saying, ‘God, be merciful and gracious to me, the [especially wicked] sinner [that I am]!’ I tell you, this man went to his home justified [forgiven of the guilt of sin and placed in right standing with God] rather than the other man; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but he who humbles himself [forsaking self-righteous pride] will be exalted.”


I would rather be a humble Criminal before God and walk my way to into my eternal home than being a powerful disciple who exhibited signs and wonders (like Judas) but still ended up in darkness!
